On the south side of Healdsburg, an old railroad bridge stoically straddles the Russian River as it snakes its way to the Pacific Ocean.

Built of steel and concrete over 100 years ago, the bridge is no longer safe and bears signposts warning the curious: Danger Keep Out. Hopefully, the bridge will be refurbished instead of replaced for the arrival of the SMART train in 2015-16.
