Merc Shop gets nod in Women’s Wear Daily

Healdsburg’s The Mercantile Shop was mentioned in the iconic fashion publication Women’s Wear Daily today.

The shop, located on Center Street in an 1,000 square foot space, was opened last year by childhood friends Monica Schweiger and Kelly Ferris. Schweiger, who is also a freelance stylist, once worked for WWD as well as New York Magazine.

The friends describe their shop as a modern general store that offers a curated one-stop place to buy fashions and sundries from a selection of designers. They offer a variety of brands including The West Is Dead, Alternative Apparel, LNA and Levi’s Vintage.
