Merc Shop to have Holiday Trunk Show

Retail store The Mercantile Shop is having a holiday trunk show this Thursday, Dec. 6 featuring clothing from 194t and jewelry by Dream Collective. The event will be held from 4-7 p.m at the store at 333 Center Street with exclusive items available from the two Los Angeles-based designers.

Homemade cookies, pinot noir jam from School Garden and a tasting of wines from Kokomo Winery will be provided. Proceeds from Thursday’s event will benefit the Healdsburg Animal Shelter.

The 194t collection will feature items from their 2012 Holiday Collection as well as a sneak peak at the new spring collection — all of which will be discounted 10 percent throughout the weekend.

The Mercantile Shop, which opened earlier this year, is a specialty boutique store that  offers clothing for men, women and children, as well as house wares, accessories, jewelry, and pantry items.  The store showcases products from local artisans and producers, as well as international designers.
