More than one ton of toys and coats were collected during the last three weeks in a battle between the Alexander Valley and Russian River Valley wine regions to see who could collect the most donations for Toys for Tots.

Last Friday, Dec. 14, the group held a live weigh-in event at the Jordan Winery to determine the winner to see who had collected the most

Judy Jordan of J Winery and her brother, John Jordan, of Jordan Winery at the weighing-in ceremony for the Toys for Tots winery region competition.

I am wondering why it has taken so long for them to see which wine region can fill a grape gondola with the most toys and coats for the children served by Toys for Tots.Anyway It is nice to know that Wineries of the Alexander and Russian River valleys are engaging themselves in the toys activities like this! This week gifts will be distributed to needy children. A very big Thank from http://www.wowkart.com/ to the organizers for organizing such a wonderful event
