Dec. 3

Kelley & Young Wines hosts a Toys for Tots toy drive from 4-7 p.m. today at 5466 Red Winery Road, Geyserville, with wine, hors d’oeuvres and young Marines recently back from deployment. It’s free to those who bring an unwrapped toy. Reserve a spot by calling 433-0248 or emailing kathleen@kelleyyoungwines.com.

Experience Ann Evening with Thomas Pinney – The Wine Library Associates of Sonoma County on Monday, Dec .3 at 6:00 p.m. at the  Healdsburg Public Library.  Come and enjoy fine Sonoma County Wine and appetizers and a talk by Professor Thomas Pinney. Browse through our collection of books on wine for sale at this event. We will also be offering a selection of Professor Pinney’s books for sale which he will be signing at this event. Thomas Pinney, professor emeritus at Pomona College, has authored “A History of Wine in America”, “The Vineyards, Wine Cellars of California”, “The Makers of American Wine: a Record of Two Hundred Years”.

Dec. 8

Amphora Vineyards celebrates the official release of  its 2009 Tempranillo from noon-3 p.m. with a house-made paella. Tickets are $25. Wine Club members must RSVP. Info: info@amphorawines.com. Amphora Winery is located at 4791 Dry Creek Road,  431-7767.

Healdsburg 4TH Annual Holiday Boutique will be held Sat., Dec 8 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Krug Event Center at 198 Dry Creek Road.

Dec. 8-9

Teresa Lubarsky’s Healdsburg Ballet presents the holiday favorite “The Night Before Christmas” at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at The Raven Performing Arts Theater, 115 North St. It marks the 18th annual production of this original adaptation of the classic holiday story. Watch as Christmas Eve comes to life while dancers perform ballet, jazz and hip-hop to classical and contemporary music. Holly, Peppermints, Santa’s Elves and Christmas Toys dance in original costumes. Tickets are $18, $13 seniors and children under 9, and are available from Healdsburg Ballet and at the door. Dec. 9

Healdsburg Chorus Holiday Concerts at the Healdsburg Community Church.  Favorite Songs of the holiday season sung by the 50-voice Healdsburg Chorus directed by Betty Zukov and accompanied by Susan Nelson. Sunday at 3 p.m. at 11oo University Avenue. More info: http://www.healdsburgchorus.com/
