Amphora Winery’s annual Chardonnay and Oysters event goes from 11 a.m. Friday until the oysters are gone. Admission is free, with tastes of 2008 Chardonnay (Peters Vineyard, Russian River Valley) and ultra-fresh Tomales Bay oysters to purchase. The winery, located at 4791 Dry Creek Road will also have chilled bottles and single glasses will be available for purchase. The oysters will be shucked to order while you sip. The Raven Performing Arts Theater presents Elvin Bishop, renowned and popular blues artist in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday at 115 North St. From deep down gutbucket Blues played in smoky South Side Chicago taverns, to raucous roadhouse R&B, Bishop has instilled all of his music with passion, creativity, and a healthy helping of wisdom, wit and good humor. He was a founding member of the Paul Butterfield Blues and has recorded with Clifton Chenier, John Lee Hooker and The Allman Brothers, achieving Pop success with his 1976 smash hit “Fooled Around and Fell in Love.” Tickets are available at 433-6335 or raventheater.org.
Saturday marks the last day of the season for the Healdsburg Farmers Market at North and Vine streets. Hours are 9 a.m.-noon.
