Souchi knitwear trunk show at Looking Glass
Looking Glass clothing shop in Healdsburg will host a trunk show Friday and Saturday featuring “cult cashmere” designer Suzi Johnson’s Souchi Fall 2012 collection. The event kicks off Friday at 4 p.m. and continues Saturday at 11 a.m.
Johnson, who started designing knitwear clothing San Francisco 15 years ago and now has three retail stores, will be on hand to present her newest line of ready to wear items, said Looking Glass co-owner Andrea Barrett. The collection features sweaters, floor-length cardigans, dresses, scarves, wraps, hats and beanies made out of cashmere, cotton/cashmere or merino wool. A limited stock will be available during the event. Johnson will also work with customers to create custom orders of any of her items.
Souchi’s products are hand loomed in its Portland, Ore., studio.
Looking Glass, formerly Arboretum, re-opened earlier this year, adding a champagne bar to its selection of sustainable clothing and other items. Barrett says the store has officially opened its beverage bar and will be featuring a selection of champagne, champagne cocktails and non-alcoholic sparkling drinks, as well specialty sweets and savories by Healdsburg’s own Flour Girl.
