Pisco cocktail competition @ spoonbar
On Wednesday, February 22, Spoonbar is hosting their 2nd Annual “Golden Barspoon” Cocktail Competition. This time around, bartenders from Napa and Sonoma will go shaker to shaker making drinks featuring Encanto Pisco.
Last year’s champ, Michael Pazdon of Solbar (Solage) returns to defend his title. But he’ll be up against a strong field including Adam Welch (Cyrus), Erika Frey (Willi’s Seafood and Raw Bar), Brandon Manning (Jack & Tony’s), Adam Ryan (Mateo’s), Neil Espinosa (Stark’s) and Anthony Park (Ho Hing General Store, SF).
Spoonbar will be offering $5 Pisco drink specials all night long, and new to this year… a $25 wristband gets you a taste of each competitor’s drink. And since Pisco is a source of Peruvian national pride, the kitchen will be serving up a series of Peruvian-style small bites to help soak up all the Pisco drinks.
h2hotel is offering a $150 room rate for anyone who’d like to make a night of it.
