Foss Creek cleanup scheduled in Healdsburg

Creek and river cleanups are scheduled in a variety of communities this week, but for those who can't make them, or just can't get enough, there is always next month.

The 2011 Foss Creek cleanup takes place Oct. 22 in Healdsburg, sponsored by the city, Kiwanis and Rotary clubs, and Russian Riverkeeper.

Volunteers can check in at 8:30 a.m. behind the Bear Republic Brewery.

All ages are welcome and a free barbecue lunch will be provided.
